NCAA Basketball widow
Come on wives and girlfriends, I know that I am not the only one who has this issue. Your significant other is just glued to the television when they announce the brackets. Then you lose all control of the TV and your significant other once the games get started. Thursday through Sunday the games get played and it is like pulling teeth to get a word out. In fact you can prance around in whatever you want and you still will not get noticed. It is inevitable, you have become an NCAA Basketball widow.
I must admit though that when it first starts, I am interested in it. I do like sports and have been to a game or two myself. However, it is these endless games that go on and on, and all the channel flipping to catch all four of the games that are being play at once that gets to me. It just feels like they are trying to cram in a million games into only a few weeks.
I will give my husband credit that he has tried to spark my interest in it more than once. In fact we even have filled out a bracket once or twice with an exchange of chores at stake. However, this only made me want to find out the end result of each game. I still did not want to follow each and every game religiously.
So when time comes around each year, I just know that I what will happen and know that in a few weeks I will get my husband back.
