Obamacare Equals Obamascare
I have always thought that one of the worst things that Obama has done was to create the health care plan. I personally do not call it Obamacare but Obamascare. It is just down right scary. The way I feel my parents did not leave all their family, friends, belongings and life behind to leave a communist country only to come to a country that eventually becomes socialistic. They did not work their behinds of working two jobs at a time only to be told that they have to pay for things for other people who do not care to work hard. Yes, I am aware that there are plenty of people who do work hard and are unfortunate enough to not be able have insurance. However, there are those people who choose to open up their own business but not pay for their own insurance. Yes, it is expensive to get insurance on your own because you do not have a corporation covering part of insurance costs, but those are the choices you make when you are deciding whether to be self-employed or to go and work for someone. Those who work for corporations still have to pay out of their pocket for insurance though so it is not free. Then there are the people who just can not hold down a job and choose to live off of the people who do. It is just wrong for us to have to pay for that.
What is even more scary to me about Obamascare is the fact that government would be making our healthcare decisions. It is just wrong. They can barely run the things they do run let alone trying to make decisions that is as important as our health. I want to be the one deciding on that.
So in the end, I hope that after this week’s fiasco that Obamascare just gets shot down and everything has to be started from scratch. Sadly, I think I will have to go on dreaming because our wonderful President will go to any means make sure the one biggest thing he has done in his term sticks - especially during election year.

NCAA Basketball widow
Come on wives and girlfriends, I know that I am not the only one who has this issue. Your significant other is just glued to the television when they announce the brackets. Then you lose all control of the TV and your significant other once the games get started. Thursday through Sunday the games get played and it is like pulling teeth to get a word out. In fact you can prance around in whatever you want and you still will not get noticed. It is inevitable, you have become an NCAA Basketball widow.
I must admit though that when it first starts, I am interested in it. I do like sports and have been to a game or two myself. However, it is these endless games that go on and on, and all the channel flipping to catch all four of the games that are being play at once that gets to me. It just feels like they are trying to cram in a million games into only a few weeks.
I will give my husband credit that he has tried to spark my interest in it more than once. In fact we even have filled out a bracket once or twice with an exchange of chores at stake. However, this only made me want to find out the end result of each game. I still did not want to follow each and every game religiously.
So when time comes around each year, I just know that I what will happen and know that in a few weeks I will get my husband back.
Whitney Houston Cause Of Death: Mixed Emotions
It is always a terrible thing when anyone dies and definitely a shame when someone of great talent dies, sometimes though you really have to wonder about how to feel about it. Everyone who knew about Whitney Houston's history knew that the coroner was going to come back with a cause of death that tied in her drug issues to it. However, the news does stir up a wide mixture of emotions about it. A year ago a friend of mine was hit by a car on the highway trying to help a few animals off the road. A stranger across the country heard the news and decided to blog about his death and felt that he should be nominated for the Darwin Award. Of course this caused a knee jerk reaction and a lot of commotion among his friends and family. Looking back on it though, I can not help but wonder if he would still be alive had he not gotten out of the car. Some people just tempt fate a little too much. As far as Whitney is concerned, it was no secret that she had a huge problem and that she was spiraling down to the inevitable. Yes, I used to love listening to her music and remember waiting for her songs to play on the radio so that I can record them because my parents did not have the money to buy the tape. I would then try to sing along with her even though I could not hit all the notes. She had something magical about her back in the day and her talent will be greatly missed. However, it is really hard to feel sorry for someone who has brought this type of tragedy on themselves. Sadly, she was not the first great talent to shorten their own life and she definitely will not be the last.
